East Boston Neighborhood Health Center engaged isgenuity to design a new Senior Care Center. The 15,500 SF space operates as a PACE (Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly) program to provide elderly residents of the surrounding cities an environment in which to receive all-inclusive care and a place in which to feel connected to other members of their community.

The new out-of-the-ground building includes a variety of program elements to accommodate visitors and participants. The design team worked closely with the client to design a building focused on the user experience. This began with studies of the typical arrival sequence for van drop-offs, flow through the lobby and into the large recreation and library spaces, all while trying to minimize travel distances and enhance the participants’ enjoyment of the space.
