The new facility for Charles River Community Health aims to maintain a neighborhood feel and an environment that is welcoming to patients and community members from all backgrounds. The building houses medical, laboratory, dental, vision care, counseling, and administration. It brings space and resources to staff, patients, and the community that were lacking in their previous facilities, including larger and more comfortable waiting and exam rooms, a retail pharmacy and vision optical shop. It also provides generous windows, light, and views to provide a calm, healing environment for patients and a pleasant work environment for staff.
