Friday, September 19, 2014 marked a long-awaited beam topping-off ceremony at the Joseph M. Smith Community Health Center’s new building, located at 495 Western Avenue in Brighton, Massachusetts.
We were pleased to celebrate this long-awaited milestone with executive director Liz Browne, JMSCHC administrators and staff, contractor Columbia Construction, owner’s representative SAR+, and members of the project development team. City Councilor Mark Ciommo and State Representative Kevin Honan also attended the event.
The facility is expected to be completed in 2015 and will consolidate and expand the health center’s mission to provide medical, vision, pharmacy, dental and counseling services for the residents of Allston and Brighton. The 40-year-old health center’s dream is quickly becoming a reality, and as the architect of the project, we are proud to be a part of it.
